Leading teams of C# and React engineers across US and India, you will manage developers responsible for the delivery of world class software for the entire sales workflow from quoting, insurance applications, e-signature to submission, used by the top US Life and Annuities carriers and distributors. Deliverables and Performance Measures:

Delivery Metrics

Value Delivered Metrics: Measure the business value delivered by your teams. This could include features committed to versus released, user stories completed, bugs versus features with rationale for the productivity of the teams
Delivery Efficiency Metrics: Assess how efficiently your teams are delivering software. Look at lead time (from idea to deployment) and cycle time (from development to deployment).
Backlog Health Metrics: Evaluate the health of your backlog. Consider metrics like backlog size, aging items, and prioritization effectiveness.
Delivery Quality Metrics: Focus on software quality. Metrics can include defect density, code review feedback, and test coverage.
Sprint Metrics (Dependability Metrics): Assess sprint performance. Metrics include sprint completion rate, sprint goals achieved, and velocity, team improvements and actions to close gaps.
Code Metrics: Examine code-related metrics. Consider commit counts, pull request metrics, and code complexity.

Other Performance Measures

Oversees and supervises developers and team leads, setting performance objectives, conducting annual performance reviews, and recommending pay actions.
Develops, mentors and coaches team, fosters a positive work environment
Leads and manages the technical activities of multiple complex software development projects.
Drives adherence to existing processes and defines new and improved processes within the groups.
Motivates teams to solve problems and deliver high-quality results.
Manages stakeholder relationships across the business group and the company.
Performs risk and dependency management across the engineering organization.
Oversees resource planning activities, aligns work and resources with the organization's strategy, and integrates across boundaries as necessary.
Ensures the product group delivers software within accepted quality standards by facilitating a working "definition of done" (DoD) for Agile stories within each group.

What will make you successful:

Strong engineering background implementing customer-facing mission-critical web applications in C#, React, or comparable frameworks. Azure experience a plus.
Strong Product mind, able to contribute to evolution of product requirements and help shape product and roadmap decisions by providing sound advice across the functional/technical spectrum
10+ years total experience in software development and 5+ years of experience leading diverse global teams of different competencies and sizes.
Ability to multitask and manage several projects simultaneously.
Overseeing technology changes and effective execution including optimization of the current code base, improving the process of delivery execution using devops practices, and developing a SaaS offering
IOS/Android mobile experience is a plus
Experience in Life Insurance, Annuities, InsTech / Insurance Industry, or broader FinTech is a plus
Experience with consulting / client-delivery / solutions delivery environments and activities is a plus
Deep experience with large footprint 3rd party integrations and external software integrations
Deep knowledge of Agile delivery methodology and metrics tracking and continuous improvement.
Strong leadership, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to manage third-party relationships when required.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
