Clinic Description: Endovascular Health Services is an Office Based Vascular Center located in Metairie, LA. We perform diagnostic ultrasounds along with minimally invasive vascular procedures such as but not limited to: treatment of Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), Venous Disease, Dialysis access creation and maintenance
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team with providing care in the outpatient setting . We're looking for someone with excellent customer service skills who displays a positive team-player attitude, and possesses a passion for providing high-quality patient care. DUTIES: including but not limited to;
- Provide direct nursing care during the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative periods under the direction of the License Physician and/or The Center Manager, utilizing standard nursing techniques and following facility policies and procedures.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude when working with others. Promote a harmonious work environment.
- Maintain integrity of medical records and other administrative and operational records.
- Provide education to patients and patient's family regarding pre and post procedure care.
- Administer medications and IV conscious sedation to patients as directed per physician's orders, and in compliance with universal standards, and company, federal, state and local regulations.
- Monitor patient’s condition before, during and after the procedure, especially patients having moderate sedation and contrast media injections for possible complications or reactions.
- Participate in the company Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program and assist with data collection, completion of clinical logs/checklists, and auditing activities as needed.
- Adheres to the company’s Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and company protocols. Comply with HIPPA policies and standards regarding patient information and medical records.
- The position provides direct patient care that regularly involves heavy lifting and moving of patients and assisting with ambulation. The position also requires frequent prolonged periods of standing and bending.
Experience: Experience in critical care, surgery, PACU, emergency room or interventional radiology preferred.
License/Certification:
- Registered Nurse Licensed in Louisianna required.
- ACLS Certification Required
- Conscious Sedation Certification (provided upon hire)
