We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager with a minimum of 2 years of marketing or hospitality event planning experience to join our growing team. The Marketing Manager is the face & voice of our company & should be included in all matters which are guest-facing.
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Salary Range: Up to $75,000
The Marketing Manager will split time working between the following 3 areas:
- Maintenance: Maintaining current goals internally & externally via grassroots outreach, prospecting, partnerships, community involvement, and in-house marketing.
- General Marketing: Ongoing promotion of food and beverage (happy hour, lunch, dinner, late night, brunch, etc.), events, banquets, and participating in off-site events to promote the brand. Responsible for executing an actionable marketing plan to drive traffic, sales, and brand awareness.
- Event Planning: Lotus Concepts is the leader in Colorado events. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the continuous planning, promoting, and execution of over 100+ annual marketing events.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Market research and establishing and fostering local connections.
- Develop relevant & innovative marketing events to reach the company's target customers for all marketing holidays including (but not limited to): New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, St. Patrick’s Day, Halloween, Sporting & Athletic Events, Food Holidays, etc.
- Create, curate, promote, manage, & execute all marketing events. This includes creating marketing agendas & production sheets for managers, chefs, & in-house team, attending weekly marketing meetings with Marketing Director, Vice President, & General Managers, leading pre-shifts & all staff meetings with servers and bartenders, being the liaison from corporate office to managers & staff.
- Manage all in-house entertainment & booking including musicians, live bands, acoustic artists, promo teams, liquor reps, & performers. Researching new talent, negotiating contracts, handling payment, & point of contact for all on-site execution.
- Responsible for coordinating & purchasing all event décor, products, & retail.
- Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan & develop campaigns 90 days out.
- Submit graphic design requests (GDRs) & work with graphics team to develop innovative marketing materials to promote restaurant & events.
- Manage off-site grassroots marketing to promote brand & events.
- Create neighborhood & local business programs with apartments, hotels, local businesses, & organizations.
Produce copy writing for social media, event campaigns, promotions, menus & website that is consistent with the company's "voice" * - positive, witty, humorous, informative & engaging.
- Oversee brand’s marketing design & advertising (i.e.: In-house pop-ups, table tents, LEDs, banners, menus, etc.)
- Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation. Monitor online reviews and guest feedback.
- Become an advocate for the company in local organizations, partnerships, off-site events, & grassroot promotion.
- Monitor trends in event planning, marketing, restaurant tools, design & strategy.
- Implement ongoing education to remain highly effective.
- Analyze, review, & report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results. Qualifications & Skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Previous experience working with a full-service hospitality brand with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Possesses knowledge & experience in the tenets of traditional, grassroots, & digital marketing.
- A marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
- Demonstrate creativity & documented immersion in social media.
- Proficient in content marketing theory & application.
- Experience sourcing & managing content development & publishing.
- Exhibit an ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
- Display an in-depth knowledge & understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Google, Yelp, TripAdvisor etc.) & how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Possess excellent writing & language skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate information & ideas in written format.
- Exceed at building and maintaining sales relationships, online & off.
- Practice superior time management.
- A team player with the confidence to take the lead & guide other employees when necessary.
- Possess a solid technical understanding and the abilty learn new tools quickly.
- Demonstrate exemplary guest service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy & conflict resolution.
- Ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations & apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
