Full Job Description

Do you have high attention to detail and carry the ability to multi-task?

If so, I AM Trucking is seeking experienced Dispatcher in San Antonio, TX. The Dispatcher is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and arranging the delivery of products to rigs in an efficient and timely manner. As part of the logistics team, the dispatcher is responsible for data entry, which is required for each delivery.

The pay range is $50,000/yr - $60,000/yr. Candidate must be available to rotate days, overnights, as well as work weekends. The day shift is from 6am - 6pm and the night shift is 6pm - 6am. The working schedule is two weeks on, one week off. The day/night shift alternates each hitch (One hitch of day and the next will be overnight).

OFFICE LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:

Ensure maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding Company-established goals by successfully routing vehicles.
Able to adapt to scenarios in which trucking needs to be redirected to another destination.
Assign loads to drivers based on designated routes and driver location.
Prepare, update and dispense the daily route schedule.
Gather and maintain route sheet documentation for pick-ups (scheduled, missed, extra pickups, logbooks), route completions and driver locations.
Ensure route completion via the driver check-in process.
Reviews dispatch system and driver assignments to ensure all loads are dispatched and that detailed information on assigned loads is relayed and completely understood.
Courteously interact with customers, as required. Receive customer calls, taking orders in a friendly and focused manner.
Maintain communication of any delays with the customer and ensure to relay such delays to logistics supervisor.
Report driver performance issues or concerns to appropriate management for resolution.
Enter pertinent information into our data entry system.
Ensures all costs for services are rendered and or recovered.
Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED.
Prefer 2 years of prior work experience in a dispatch role with experience in a support role in warehouse operations is preferred.
Bilingual language abilities (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel skills) and Outlook and strong internet research skills.
Strong ability to communicate, multi task and work in high pressure situations.
Valid driver’s license and the maintenance of a driving record satisfactory to I AM Trucking.
Flexibility to work overtime, flex schedule and be on call and work weekends as needed.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and fitness test.
