First Docs, LLC is a physician-owned practice providing compassionate, world class and personally customized healthcare to patients across the healthcare continuum. Our physicians provide internal medicine and primary medical care in acute, post-acute, and senior living communities with the goal of providing highest quality clinical outcomes, an enhanced patient care experience, and cost effective and successful transitions. We are seeking physicians who want to make a career shift away from the frustrations of hospital medicine to a practice setting where they can make a meaningful difference for their patients and their careers.

Our physician executive team is devoted to our physicians’ personal and professional growth, providing guidance, education, and professional mentorship along with creating opportunities for Medical Directorships. Our extensive operations and clinical support teams provide additional support, tools and resources (scribes, professional coders, integrated EHR, real time financial dashboards, SNF subject matter experts, etc) to help our physicians be more effective, more efficient, and more compliant in providing quality, direct patient care.

Full Time or Part Time Availability

This position is ideal for a physician looking to transfer their acute hospitalist training and experience to the post-acute world, where they can gain greater independence, flexibility, financial security, and leadership opportunities. There is limited, or no call required, and the schedule can be flexible as long as there is a routine commitment for daytime rounding availability.

Responsibilities

Manage new admissions and continued medical care for predominantly geriatric population
Proactively round on rehab and long term patients and complete necessary documentation/orders timely based on agreed upon facility/patient needs.
Provide strong physician leadership and exceptional patient care in a post-acute care setting
Collaborate with center interdisciplinary care team and First Docs leadership on quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

MD/DO degree from accredited medical school
Board Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
Current unrestricted state medical license
Proficiency with EMR
Compassionate, Intelligent, Motivated, Team Player
