Structural Designer
Overview:
We are seeking a talented Structural Designer to join our team. As a Structural Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and analyzing structures while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Mathcad, Civil 3D, system design, technical writing, project management, FEA, project engineering, project scheduling, Bluebeam, and MicroStation.
Duties:
- Design and analyze structural components for various projects
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure structural integrity and safety
- Utilize Mathcad and FEA software for structural calculations and analysis
- Prepare detailed technical drawings using Civil 3D and MicroStation
- Engage in technical writing for project documentation
- Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines
- Implement system design principles for efficient structural solutions
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration
- Assist in project scheduling and coordination efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Proven experience as a Structural Designer or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficiency in Mathcad, Civil 3D, FEA software, and MicroStation
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of project engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with Bluebeam for document control and collaboration
- Excellent technical writing skills for accurate project documentation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex ideas clearly
