Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Therapist, you will work with individuals of all ages who are experiencing behavioral and mental health challenges. Your role will involve providing therapy, conducting diagnostic evaluations, and implementing behavior management strategies to help clients improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' behavioral and mental health needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques such as psychotherapy and behavioral therapy
- Collaborate with clients' families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and strategies to manage challenging behaviors
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address issues such as addiction, developmental disabilities, chronic pain, and more
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a Behavioral Therapist
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, addiction counseling, or pediatrics is preferred
- Strong knowledge of therapy techniques and behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor to provide support to individuals facing behavioral challenges
