Job Description:
Prescient Edge is seeking an Acquisition & Contract Specialist in support of a Federal Government client.
As an Acquisition & Contract Specialist, you will:
- Utilize your knowledge of a wide range of contracting procedures, methods, and contract types, including formal advertising, negotiation, fixed-price, cost contracting, SAP, and use of special provisions and incentives to plan and carry out contracting assignments related to pre-award and post-award functions, and price/cost analysis.
- Utilize your familiarity with business practices and market conditions to evaluate bid responsiveness, contractor responsibility, and contractor performance.
- Have the ability to present factual information; compose memoranda, minutes and reports; and draft contract provisions and supporting documentation.
- Perform a variety of administrative and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in either accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, communication, project/program, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in conducting acquisition and acquisition support activities.
- May substitute above qualifications with Associate degree in either accounting, law, business, finance, contracts, purchasing, economics, communication, project/program management, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, work experience in conducting comprehensive acquisition and acquisition support activities.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data.
- Skilled at reading and interpreting procurement policy, regulations, and directives.
- Ability to provide clear technical direction and guidance to all program offices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex acquisition packages in support of government contracting staff, research acquisition issues, advise customers and other internal contracting staff on specific assigned acquisition issues.
- Proficient in various types of information technology resources such as Microsoft Office including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
