HTA of NY is expanding SEIT services in Queens and the Bronx! We are actively looking for SEIT Providers to provide services to preschool students in their homes, schools, and daycare settings.
$500 Sign-on Bonus, Referral Bonus Opportunity, and Flexible Schedule.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Our Special Education Itinerant Teachers (SEIT) work in conjunction with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to help each child meet their goals and objectives.
In this role, you will…
- Plan and implement activities and interventions for children, ages 3 to 5 years.
- Collaborate with school staff, family, and multi-disciplinary team members to develop goals and outcomes for children.
- Maintain proper documentation to comply with all regional and state regulations.
- Complete session notes, and quarterly/annual progress reports, as required by each district.
- Participate in all required meetings, training, and supervision as determined by HTA.
- Maintain accountability and compliance as per HTA’s and other regulatory agency standards.
- Fully understand your role as a Mandated Reporter

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Education (Early Childhood and/or Special Education preferred)
- Valid NYS Teacher Certification: Student with Disabilities, Birth-Grade 2, OR Certified Special Education Teacher (Permanent)
- Early Childhood and/or Special Education experience (1-2 years preferred)
- NOT directly employed by the New York City Department of Education for 1 year.
Additional qualifications that are not required, but greatly appreciated include:
- Bilingual Spoken Fluency in Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, or Arabic
