Registered Nurse (RN) with extensive clinical leadership background and experience in
Assisted Living/ Memory Care/ Senior Living settings to be their new
Director of Nursing over the campus.

Unlike many Assisted Living & Memory Care properties, this one staffs an assortment of licensed nurses on staff, so you will truly have back-up and be free to balance work life with home. You'll be involved in a variety of healthcare services, so no two days will be alike. And with the pay range being in the $125K to $140K range, you are going to earn compensation that rivals higher acuity healthcare environments.
Assisted Living Director of Nursing Job Description:
Assisted Living Directors of Nursing are responsible for leading and supervising a senior living nursing unit. This position is ultimately responsible, and accountable, for the nursing care received by residents. This role reports to the Executive Director.
Specifically, Assisted Living Director of Nursing job duties include:
- Directing the nursing program, including implementing new policies and procedures when necessary
- Overseeing hiring, firing, and development of nursing staff
- Communicating with families, residents, and physicians as needed
- Developing a business plan and budget for the nursing unit
- Participating in creating resident care plans and ensuring they are followed
- Ensuring the nursing unit is compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
Depending on the size and focus of the facility, Assisted Living Directors of Nursing may also be called Resident Services Directors or other names, such as Health Services Director, AL DON, Wellness Director, or Resident Care Director.
Resident Services Director Job Requirements:
- Candidates must be registered nurses, RN in Washington State.
Assisted Living Director of Nursing jobs require a candidate who has critical care and operations leadership experience, a strong understanding of senior living standards of care, and federal and state regulations. A high level of professionalism, excellent communication skills, and compassionate leadership qualities are must-haves. Candidates must be able to think critically, and adapt quickly to new situations.

Ideal candidates will bring:
- Washington State Registered Nurse license
- Experience in a supervisory level clinical role preferred
- A track record of success in Assisted Living, Senior Living, &/or Memory Care setting

- Great ability to stay organized and manage time well
Salary Range: $125,000 to $140,000
