Join the Summit Safety as a Junior Web Developer and help lead the development of cutting-edge e-commerce solutions with an ecommerce brand focused on the world of workplace safety. Your growing expertise in Magento, PHP, and e-commerce best practices will be instrumental in creating seamless and captivating online shopping experiences. Collaborating closely with Marketing, Product Management & Merchandising, you will play a crucial role in all stages of e-commerce development, from conceptualization and design to thorough testing and successful deployment, ensuring our online store exceeds customer expectations and drive business growth.

Responsibilities
§ Develop, customize, and maintain Magento e-commerce website, plugins, and themes to meet company requirements, emphasizing performance and security.
§ Collaborate closely with marketing and product management teams to understand specific e-commerce objectives and translate them into effective solutions.
§ Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure site is error-free and performs seamlessly.
§ Stay updated on the latest Magento features, extensions, and best practices, incorporating them into projects to deliver modern and innovative e-commerce solutions.
§ Optimize Magento websites for maximum performance, search engine optimization (SEO), and user experience, following best practices and coding standards.
§ Actively participate in code reviews, providing valuable feedback to enhance code quality and maintain development standards.
§ Troubleshoot and resolve Magento functionality and integration issues, ensuring a smooth and reliable e-commerce experience for users.
Qualifications
§ Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, software development, or related field preferred, however we also understand that college isn’t for everyone.
§ Web development fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
§ Understanding of wire-framing/customer journey mapping.
§ In-depth understanding of Magento's code structure, architecture, and data flow, as well as UI/UX principles for eCommerce.
§ Solid grasp of performance optimization techniques specific to Magento, such as caching, indexing, and code compilation.
§ Ability to work both independently and in a team-centric, agile development environment, adapting to evolving project requirements.
§ Working knowledge of graphic design.
§ Agile and test-driven development best practices.

- We’d love for you to be in the 1) Orlando or 2) Tampa area; however, all United States-based applicants will be considered.
- Please note, this is a Junior Developer position, if you have 10-15-20 years’ experience, this position may not be right for you. We want you to learn from the best, and he already has the Director position.
