Job Summary:
As an Upholstery Manager at Lousso Designs Inc., you will oversee the production of custom handcrafted upholstery for residential and commercial spaces. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled upholsterers to ensure high-quality craftsmanship and timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain production schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Manage and supervise a team of upholsterers in daily operations
- Coordinate with designers and clients to understand project requirements
- Collaborate with carpenters and millwork specialists for integrated projects
- Maintain inventory of materials in the warehouse
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols in the workshop
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all products meet the company's standards.
- Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Client Liaison:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the workroom and clients.
- Provide clear communication and updates to clients regarding their orders.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, resolving any client issues or concerns efficiently and professionally.
Estimations and Cost Management:
- Prepare and provide accurate estimates for upholstery projects.
- Monitor project costs to ensure they align with budgets.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate the production team to achieve high performance and quality.
- Provide training and support to team members as needed.
Operational Efficiency:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the workroom is organized and maintained in a safe and clean condition.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Unmatched customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Basic knowledge of upholstery processes is beneficial but not required.
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory role is preferred.
