Use your knowledge of controls engineering fundamentals to help Körber Supply Chain deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will contribute to the implementation of Körber's next generation of products by programming, testing and/or validating products in the factory and customer sites. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of engineering projects and programs.

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of turn-key solutions in both distribution and manufacturing facilities.
Your role in our team
Your role is to support our partners by evaluating customer requirements, creating competitive and attractive layout designs for automated solutions, and being part of customer meetings. Your solutions will include Körber products such as stacker cranes (ASRS), conveyors, rail-guided vehicles as well as our best-in-class layer pickers. On top of that, Körber’s offering will include AMRs, AGVs, shuttle, and case-handling solutions.
We would expect our candidate to be able to design layouts in partnership with sales and solutions design, following the standards & guidelines set by our global solution teams. For larger or more complex projects, these teams will support you when needed.

- You will create layouts based on customers' requirements, using the Körber product portfolio, solution standards, and where required 3rd third-party equipment from partners or suppliers.
- You will perform performance calculations to determine the right type, configuration, and quantity of equipment, considering company guidelines for solution dimensioning.
- You will collect input from other departments or suppliers to correctly configure and price equipment or services. Provide them with specifications for them to do this.
- You will cooperate with solutions design to build the total costs of the solution.
- You will join and support sales managers and sales engineers at customer meetings. Prepare layout walkthrough presentations.
- You will participate in the proper handover of sold projects to the execution team(s).
- You will participate in technical reviews and price review meetings.
- You will submit quote requests to Purchasing and assist in evaluating the quotes from vendors.
- You will work on proposals for new RFQs.
Your Profile
- You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical).
- You have gained significant experience (1+ years) in a similar role in the material handling industry is required.
- You have good engineering skills.
- You have a good working knowledge of CAD systems, preferably AutoCAD.
- You have a good working knowledge of 3D tools, preferably Sketchup.
- You can communicate with all different stakeholders, from engineers to department heads, sales managers, and customers.
- You take responsibility for your work but ask for help when needed.
