Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the art and science of compounding by assisting in the preparation of personalized medications under the direct supervision of our pharmacists.
- Utilize precision in measuring medication dosages, ensuring each compound is crafted to the exact specifications of individual patient needs.
- Operate and navigate sophisticated pharmacy software to manage prescription orders, patient information, and inventory data with utmost accuracy.
- Apply your meticulous nature to label and record medication details, maintaining impeccable records that meet regulatory compliance.
- Be vigilant in monitoring and managing the inventory of medications and supplies, which keeps our pharmacy's heartbeat strong and steady.
- Take pride in processing and packaging shipments, a process that connects the care we craft to the well-being of our patients.
- Become the voice of Bayview Pharmacy as you communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance providers, delivering compassionate and informative service.
- Grow your expertise through hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art compounding lab, where, upon certification as a Pharmacy Technician II, you will delve into the creation and preparation of custom medications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous work in a pharmacy, healthcare setting, or related field is an advantage. However, individuals with a strong interest in the health sciences and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Certification: Current Pharmacy Technician certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified period after hire is preferred.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent; further education in pharmacy or related medical fields is beneficial.
- Skills:Analytical Abilities: Capable of interpreting prescription orders and understanding medical terminology.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, providers, and team members.
Detail-Oriented: A careful approach to accurately measure, label, and record medication information.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with computer systems and software used in pharmacy settings.
