Duties:
- Perform data entry and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Utilize double-entry bookkeeping principles to maintain accurate financial records
- Enter financial data into accounting software systems
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable and payable.
- Provide support in various financial services tasks, such as preparing financial reports or assisting with audits
- Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions accurately
Skills:
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in account reconciliation techniques
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping practices
- Familiarity with Rent management software such as Rent Manager or Yardi is an added plus.
- Accurate and efficient data entry skills
- Experience in payroll management, including knowledge of tax regulations and calculations
- Understanding of accounts receivable and payable processes and best practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software systems for data entry and reporting purposes
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The Accounting Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
