We are actively seeking qualified caregivers for a newly established 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in San Bernardino. Care services will be administered within a residential setting. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals who require assistance with daily activities. You will provide essential support and companionship to help the residents maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:
Caregivers in RCFE's play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of residents. Here's a list of duties you will typically provide:
- Personal Care Assistance: Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Administering medications as prescribed and ensuring residents take them on time. Keeping accurate records of medication schedules and any changes.
- Health Monitoring: Observing and monitoring residents' health, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Meal Preparation and Assistance: Planning and preparing nutritious meals based on residents' dietary needs. Assisting residents with eating if necessary.
- Mobility Support: Providing support for residents with mobility challenges. Assisting with walking, transfers, and the use of mobility aids.
- Emotional Support: Offering companionship and emotional support to residents. Engaging in conversations and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
- Housekeeping: Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for residents. Performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying up.
- Record Keeping: Keeping detailed records of residents' care plans, activities, and any notable changes in health or behavior.
- Communication: Communicating effectively with residents, their families, and other staff members. Providing updates on residents' well-being and any changes in their care plans.
- Emergency Response: Being trained to respond to emergencies and following established protocols. Ensuring the safety and well-being of residents during emergency situations.
- Recreation and Activities: Planning and assisting with recreational activities to keep residents engaged and stimulated.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to properly communicate in English verbally and in writing
- Must know and follow the facility program description/policies and procedures
- Direct client care-giving competency-based training
- Continuing Education Training requirement.
- Must be CPR AND First Aid certified.
- Valid California Driver’s License OR CA state issued ID
- DOJ & FBI fingerprint background cleared prior to employment (required once the position is offered)
Candidates must have current DOJ & FBI clearance.
A plus if you have TB test that are current/valid and no older than 6 months but not necessary. Though is contingent before hire.
