Who We Are
About Luckey’s Woodsman
We are a locally owned Food Service with a restaurant in Sisters Oregon, a Food Truck that we are working on reopening in the Bend Tumalo Area and an Adventure Catering Service that takes us all over Central Oregon's Backcountry as well as corporate functions and weddings alike in the area.
The Luckeys Woodsman originally opened its doors in Springfield Oregon on August 1st 1956. Our owner never was able to see first hand the empire his grandparents built (7 locations across the Willamette Valley) before it crashed to the ground at the end of the 70’s. He grew up his whole life hearing about all the challenges and toxicity that his grandparents and family dealt with. Ironically enough all their stories he found symbolized the current challenges the Hospitality/ Restaurant Industry are facing right now and yet the industry continues to stay stagnant and keeps doing the same ole same old.
That's why we dared to be different in pursuit to change the course and right the wrong by reopening Luckey’s Woodsman in 2020 with a new mission. We want to bring back his grandparents legacy back through a shared passion of bridging the divide between outdoor recreation and professional foodservice. We are heavily community involved and truly believe if everyone goes outside more the world would be a better place.
What We Believe
- We firmly believe that if we can implement the outdoors in our day to day basis we can use it to reinspire people to enjoy cooking professionally again (ourselves included).
- We believe the outdoors is a tool that we can leverage to allow for a healthier work environment in a known to be toxic industry.
- We believe in high-quality & fresh (sometimes wild) ingredients.
- We make our dishes from scratch with the best ingredients we can find in our area. We support local Farms and Businesses.
- We also believe in the team concept and working together!
- We completely believe that Luckey’s Woodsman wouldn’t be what it is today without our fantastic team!
