Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Implement individualized care plans and follow behavioral support strategies
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
- Monitor and record vital signs as needed
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for individuals under your care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized goals
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with first aid procedures
- Experience in patient care or assisted living settings is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of individuals under your care
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in healthcare or related fields are a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Reliable transportation
- Must have a drivers license
- Must be 21 years or older
