Job Description:
As a Warranty Manager at Barney Trucking, Inc. you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our fleet of CDL-A trucks is maintained to the highest standards by managing warranty claims and processes efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of warranty administration, from initial claim submission to final resolution, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warranty Claim Management:
- Oversee and manage all warranty claims for the company's fleet of CDL-A trucks.
- Submit, track, and follow up on warranty claims with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Ensure all claims are processed efficiently and within the warranty period.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of all warranty claims, including parts and labor costs.
- Generate regular reports on warranty status, claim success rates, and financial impacts.
- Ensure compliance with all warranty policies and procedures.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Liaise with internal departments such as Maintenance, Operations, and Finance to gather necessary information for claims.
- Communicate with manufacturers, dealers, and suppliers to resolve warranty issues and negotiate claims settlements.
- Provide training and support to staff on warranty processes and best practices.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Conduct regular audits of warranty claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with manufacturer policies.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in warranty policies to ensure the company’s procedures remain current and effective.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in the warranty claim process and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and refine warranty management systems and tools.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warranty management or a related field, preferably within the trucking or automotive industry.
- Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of warranty policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using warranty management software and MS Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- This position is typically based in an office environment but may require occasional visits to repair shops, dealerships, and other company facilities.
- Standard business hours apply, but additional hours may be required to meet deadlines or address urgent issues.
