Job Summary: We are looking for a Team Lead Packaging Processing to join our team! As a Team Lead Packaging Processing, your primary responsibility will be to provide oversight in a fast paced environment both filling and placing packaging, this job requires the ability to learn multiple machines. Accuracy and high attention to detail is paramount for this position in order to support the activities and operations of the Packaging/Labeling Dept.
Responsibilities:
· Reports to Packaging Manager/Supervisor daily regarding packaging production.
· Serves as the point-person for leadership and room management.
· Retrieves product to be packaged throughout the day and ensures the team gets started promptly and in an organized fashion every morning.
· Provides instructions and directions to the packaging team to complete the day’s tasks.
· Prints individual Product Facts labels for the team.
· Fills out and is responsible for completing work orders in tandem with the product being packaged.
· Responsible for making sure Packaging team executes all assigned packaging operations including daily cleaning tasks and logs, product quality assurance, material transport (within the facility) weighing, counting, labeling and Sealing products.
· Responsible for training and ensuring correctness of the concentrate filling weight check log.
· Knows how to operate and troubleshoot the Thompson Duke Machine.
· Responsible for pulling all products to be packaged/filled for team members.
· Operating sensitive precision scales and proper calibration and measuring techniques.
· Ensures the necessary sanitizing procedures for all materials and equipment are followed.
· Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the room- ensuring all product in the room physically is also where it should be digitally.
· Takes precautions to prevent potential cross-contaminations using provided PPE and sanitation procedures prior to entering/re-entering the Packaging room and handling products.
· Responsible for training new employees on all necessary tasks, including equipment handling, maintenance, cleaning, labeling, work orders ect.
· Responsible for performing assigned tasks, completing projects, and meeting expectations in relation to all packaging operations including daily scale calibration, equipment cleaning and maintenance, logging activities, ect.
· Responsible for following all operation guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties. Promptly reports employee or product issues to supervisors.
· Maintains full compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
· Responsible for letting their supervisor or manager know when any equipment in the room is malfunctioning or supplies are needed to be reordered.
· Report employee issues or product situations to the Packaging Manager.
· Responsible for wrapping chocolate on the Flo-wrap machine, as well as contacting Compliance to CC(compliance check) the machine before the run.
· Performs all other duties as assigned.

· Knowledge of safety protocols and compliance regulations related to flower packaging.
Physical Requirements
· The employee is frequently required to sit/stand and work for 6+ hours each shift
· The employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or reach
· The employee is required to safely lift and/or move up to 25lbs on a frequent basis
· Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Stipulation of employment is passing an OHIO BCI and FBI background check in accordance with ORC/OAC 3796.
Employees are not allowed to work on the premises until the badge is activated in the Ohio Department of Medical Marijuana e-Licensing portal.
