Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Director to join our team. As a Director of Mental Health Services you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental health needs and assisting in their treatment and recovery.
Supervisory Duties:
- Ensures that the agency and its staff maintain a high level of ethical and professional work standards.
- Directs clinical staff in the day to day provision of evidenced based and trauma informed clinical interventions.
- Works with advisory committee/management team and Executive Director to enhance administrative and clinical operations.
- Advocate for clinical staff as appropriate to increase staff retention.
- Assist Executive Director in the recruitment, hiring, and discharge of clinical staff.
- Assist in triaging and assigning clients as needed to clinical staff. Take into account clinical specialty, payer mix, frequency of session, and service delivery modalities.
- Completes assigned administrative and other paperwork necessary for carrying out program responsibilities.
- Attend agency staff meetings, advisory committee/management meetings, and conduct supervisory sessions as required.
- Lead the clinical team in understanding trauma informed and accountable care services.
- Contributes to the overall operation of the agency including contract management, grant management, and procedural development and implementation.
- Review and approve all clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes, etc.) and conduct regular quality assurance and quality improvement reviews to ensure that all appropriate record keeping is performed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation of staff training and development.
- Assists the Executive Director in preparing for and conducting plans of correction following state Department licensing inspections or those for other regulatory/payor purposes.
- Assists the Executive Director in development or implementation of the policies and procedures.
- Engage in community outreach activities as assigned.
- Service as a Liaison with other portions of service system.
- Completes Staff Performance Reviews (SPRs) for all clinical staff to enhance strengths and to isolate and minimize weaknesses.
Clinical Duties
- Provide assessments, evaluations, and treatment to an assigned caseload.
- Maintain a caseload of up to 25 clients, review acuity level and triage all recipient needs according to clinical need/medical necessity.
- Maintain at least 20 Scheduled Billable Hours per week with at least a 65% show rate.
- Provide group education and intervention services as assigned.
- Complete all clinical paperwork as required.
Requisite education, skills, and experience:
Qualified candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in a Human Services Related Field, licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or ability to transfer licensure to PA. A clinical supervisor shall be a mental health professional with at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Has the ability to relate to all populations under behavioral health guidelines. Knowledge of evidenced based strategies/interventions that are trauma informed. Must have a valid drivers’ license, knowledge of electronic medical record and other computer software including word processing, database entry and manipulation, and spreadsheets or the ability to learn. Current State/Federal child abuse and criminal background clearances are required (Act 33 and 34). Has at least 3 years of experience working in behavioral health services. Preferred at least 1 year working at an outpatient setting. Procedures according to professional licensing standards and policy and procedures outlined in the agency handbook must be followed at all times.

Pay: $64,480.00 - $68,640.00 per year
