Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods and techniques.
- Assemble and package surgical instrument sets and trays according to established protocols.
- Inspect instruments for damage or defects and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of instrument processing activities.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or related role is preferred.
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and aseptic principles.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
