Professional Healthcare Staffing is looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to care for pediatric patients in their home and/or in the school setting . You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse. LPN professionals must be first and foremost qualified and compassionate.
Must be reliable. Experience with pediatrics, seizure precautions, gastrostomy tubes and oral/nasopharyngeal suctioning preferred but will train staff that are willing and eager to learn.

Responsibilities
- Record a patient’s medical history accurately.
- Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
- Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
- Monitor patients’ condition
- Assist patient in daily necessary activities such as AM care, dressing, transferring, incontinent care, etc.
- Administer prescribed medications
- Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
- Communicate with patients’ family to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
- Accompany patient to school via bus, spend day at school assisting and administering prescribed medications as ordered, administering gastrostomy feedings , oropharyngeal suctioning and monitoring and intervening in event of seizures.
- Must have good documentation skills.

- Proven experience as LPN or similar role
- Familiarity infection control procedures
- Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practice
- Perfect physical condition and stamina
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and able to handle stress
- Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
- Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality in all settings including school and community
Must be able to provide:
PPD result within the past year
MMR/RUBELLA & Rubeola titers
CPR certification
NJ LPN License
Must be willing to undergo background check and fingerprints per the NJ office of student protection (will be reimbursed for fees upon completion of 30 days of employment.
Pay is weekly
Rate $35.00/hr
