Position Title: People Manager
Job Summary
Run daily functions of the Human Resources Department including but not limited to hiring, benefits, leave management, and employee relations.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Business Admin, or related field and 2 years of experience preferred.
Knowledge
Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruiting, benefits, employee relations, and HRIS systems.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic workplace planning and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of employment related laws & regulations.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing superior internal and external client experiences.
Primary Job Duties
- Administer benefits, and performance management systems, and safety programs.*
- Work with management to identify staff vacancies and corporate recruiters to interview and select applicants.*
- Be the liaison for current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.*
- Support local management with people relations.*
- Be the people's adviser to local management with matters related to employment law. *
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.*
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems.*
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning people-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.*
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.*
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.*
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.*
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.*

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
