- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including transcribing and drafting pleadings
- Manage document flow by organizing, filing, and maintaining legal files and records
- Support attorneys in litigation tasks, including preparing for hearings and trials
- Communicate effectively with clients and external parties in a professional manner
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and handling correspondence
- Stay updated on tribal law regulations relevant to our practice area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and task completion
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree preferred
- Proven experience in legal research and familiarity with workers compensation law
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft legal documents accurately
- Proficiency in administrative tasks and document management systems
- Knowledge of clerical duties and office procedures
- Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis or similar legal research tools is a plus
