Job Title: Barista
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 p/h
Location: Crystal River, FL
Reports to: Food & Beverage Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Provides excellent customer service by preparing and serving coffee and other specialty drinks to guests/members (and food where appropriate).

Job Responsibilities

Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, like coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.

Adheres to Starbuck’s recipes standards and compliance training.
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment.

Clean service or seating areas.

Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to make sure proper functioning.

Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.

Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.

Provide customers with product details, like coffee blend or preparation descriptions.

Receive process customer payments
- Serve prepared foods, like muffins, biscotti, or bagels.

Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.

Take customer orders convey them to other employees for preparation.

Weigh, grind, or pack coffee beans for customers.

Wrap, label, or date food items for sale.

Prepare or serve menu items, like sandwiches or salads.

Set-up or restock product displays.
Qualifications

Candidates must be 18 years of age.
-
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
-
Must have at least one year experience as a barista. Hospitality experience is preferred.

Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.

Candidates in this role will be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Position requires flexibility in scheduling AM/PM, weekends & holidays. Overtime may be required per business needs.
Physical Requirements
-
Must be able to stand for entirety of shift.
-
Must be able to complete repetitive motions throughout shift such as bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, etc.
- Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 60 pounds several times per shift.
- Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
