We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant and Lounge Manager to join our team and help elevate our guests’ and employees’ experience to new heights.
Job Description: As the Restaurant and Lounge Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our restaurant and lounge front-of-house. You will ensure an exceptional guest experience and maintain the highest standards of service and quality, while leading and inspiring a team of 45 dedicated team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the restaurant and lounge, to ensure smooth and efficient service. Coordinate with the kitchen staff, front-of-house team, and bar staff to maintain seamless operations.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment while providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Guest Experience: Ensure an exceptional dining experience for all guests by maintaining high standards of service, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly, and implementing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Quality Control: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards. Work closely with the culinary team to maintain consistency and excellence in menu offerings.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets and control costs. Oversee front of house inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships. Prepare and analyze financial reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the General Manager and marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies, special events, and seasonal campaigns to attract and retain customers.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, and the community to enhance the restaurant's reputation and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, Lounge Manager, or similar role in a high-volume, upscale dining establishment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions
- Strong financial skills in budgeting, expense management and financial report preparation and analysis
- Knowledge of health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
