The RF Field Technician I is responsible for RF data collection and field testing in live networks across LTE, NR, and Public Safety (LMR, UHF, VHF) environments. This role involves:

Performing field testing in designated test areas for various operators and Public Safety systems.

Utilizing testing handset software and hardware.

Collecting data using logging tools for analysis by other teams.

Conducting E2E scenarios for core device functionalities, including objective functionality and subjective usability.

Carrying out Quality of Service (QoS) walks, benchmarking, data collection, and reporting.

Working in customer locations and exhibiting excellent customer service and professionalism.

Handling labor-intensive tasks, including walking, climbing stairs, twisting, balancing, and lifting/moving at least 50 pounds regularly. This is a labor-intensive position that is considered Safety-Sensitive.
Required:

Experience in Quality of Service (QoS) data collection.

Experience with Public Safety grid and DAQ testing.

Professional demeanor with excellent customer-facing and service skills.

Self-motivated with the initiative to volunteer for new tasks as needed.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Comfortable with driving and traveling for extended periods in all weather conditions.

Capability for domestic travel.

Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Preferred:

Knowledge of LTE wireless principles.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Experience in the wireless industry.

Familiarity with tools such as Ookla, Solutelia (WINd), PCTel, TEMS, Anritsu, PIM, Fiber Tester, Spectrum Analyzer, CW equipment, QoS test equipment, test phones, and public safety handhelds.

Experience with RF Data Collection and RF Data Post Processing software.
