Summary of Position: This position supports overall fiscal services department goals of providing timely and accurate budgeted financial information to internal and external users, and maintaining effective internal controls over financial processes.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Development of preliminary data and templates to be used by Fiscal Service Staff for creation and tracking of baseline expense budgets.
- Development of input data for use in current year forecasting models.
- Assist with capturing, organizing and tracking recommendations, worksheets, and database for capital and operating budgets.
- Initial review of submitted Capital and Operating Budget request for reasonableness and make recommendations of non-salary request up to a certain threshold.
- Analyze current year budget change requests from directors to determine appropriate course of action.
- Draft budget adjustment change forms for review and approval.
- Maintaining files for current year access of use funds for market adjustments and other contingency budgeted amounts.
- Assist with and maintain hospital’s budget database for accuracy and seasonal trends.
- Preparation of internal financial statements and initial budget recommendation for certain affiliates (Foundation).
- Performs financial analysis relative to areas of responsibility as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Bachelors Degree in Administration with a major in Accounting. At least two years directly related accounting experience. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Salary Range: $26.97 - $47.44
