What we're looking for in an Inventory Specialist:
If you love helping people, solving problems, and getting compensated for being a team player, then Huskey Building Supply might have a job for you. We will rely on you, our Inventory Specialist, to maintain the inventory in our Millwork Division’s large warehouse. You will maintain inventory records, perform physical inventory counts, identify inventory discrepancies, assist our purchasing team maintain proper inventory levels, track inventory movement, provide basic reports, and otherwise manage our sizeable inventory. If you are afraid of working in the heat and cold in a real warehouse, this might not be for you.

What you'll be doing in the Inventory Specialist job:

Record Keeping—Maintaining complete and accurate inventory records, including purchases, and reconciling actual stock counts with computer-generated reports.

Inventory Counts—Performing physical counts of inventory and ensuring that all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy.

Inventory Discrepancies—Identifying, investigating, and resolving inconsistencies in inventory, such as discrepancies in reported quantities and locations.

Inventory Levels—Maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand and identifying shortages.

Inventory Tracking—Tracking inventory movements and ensuring that staff know where, when, and how to access inventory at any given time.

Inventory Reporting—Preparing reports and documents, such as inventory reports, that require attention to detail to ensure everyone has the correct information.

Inventory Management—Using inventory management software and technologies to track inventory movements and generate reports.

Computer literacy is a must (you’ll need skills beyond navigating on tablets and smart phones, etc.—you’ll need Windows™ skills and Microsoft Office™ suite familiarity.

Good oral and written communications skills, and zeal for documenting your work.

A zeal for organizing everything—especially warehouse products.

Prior experience as an Inventory Control Clerk or Warehouse Administrator is a plus.

Epicor, BisTrack and WMS (Warehouse Management System) experience is a plus.

Come prepared to work—it’s hot, cold, dirty—this is a warehouse environment.

Must pass required company drug screens as part of a drug-free workplace.
