About the Role:
This position will be responsible for providing front line telephone support for customers, vendors, and managers. This includes creating work orders and coordinating with necessary parties to effectively and efficiently resolve customer issues.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Answers incoming telephone calls and emails from customers.
- Creates work orders from those customer calls and emails.
- Dispatches work orders via email, web, software, or fax within specified timelines.
- Ensures customer expectations are exceeded.
- Follows company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Escalates and tracks high priority work orders according to account procedures.
- Coordinate with customers, vendors, and management to facilitate the flow of high work order demand.
- Prioritizes work to meet or exceed established performance standards.
- Provides work order follow-up and reporting as required.
- Assists other peers and performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- A minimum of 3-years of customer experience or sales experience with a proven track record required.
- Experience in the glass industry or a related field preferred.
- AS-400 experience preferred.
- Proven record of selling and servicing customers via the telephone.
- Solid verbal/written communication skills.
- Must have basic knowledge of math and geometry.
- Able to understand and accurately communicate customer’s needs.
- Able to manage telephone customer interactions and convey confidence while resolving customer issues.
- Basic math skills and ability to work with percentages, fractions, and decimals.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Able to thrive in a changing environment. (Every call is different and requires a unique and customized response from the CSR.).
- Able to complete work accurately while under deadline pressure. This includes quickly making decisions with limited input from the customer.
- Able to accept constructive criticism.
- Strong computer and phone skills. Ability to use web-based computer applications and type with at least 90% accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be a quick learner and proficient with various computer hardware and software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Collaborative team member with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
