We are looking for a qualified Preschool / Infant Teacher to prepare small children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. You will teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter school life. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. They are responsible for classroom management, curriculum development, supervision, and act as a role model for the families.
Qualifications for the Position:
1. Individuals who are energetic, dependable, and passionate about working with children.
2. Minimum of 1 years of experience working in an early childhood education setting.
3. Fully qualified by California State Licensing regulations – Title 22 as a preschool teacher – Must have or working towards 12 ECE units.
4. Experience in observing and documenting children’s development.
5. Possesses strong and effective communication with staff, children, and parents.
6. Professional ethics of confidentiality, discretion, and good judgement.

Primary Responsibilities – Duties
· Responsible for curriculum development.
· Assist in creating a warm, nurturing, fun, and playful atmosphere for the children.
· Engage children in daily creative and educational activity that promotes learning and growth.
· Work collaboratively with other staff members in planning to meet individual needs of children and families.
· Knowledge and application of group dynamics, communication styles and techniques for conflict resolution.
· Enforce all Licensing Regulations set forth in the Manuel of policies and procedures, including but not limited to, insuring that appropriate staff-child ratios are maintained all the times.
· Report all injuries and other health related concerns to the Director, administer First-Aid when necessary, and as mandated by state law, report any suspected child abuse.
· Assist Director / Assistant Director in all matters pertaining to the effective and efficient running of the center.
· Follow all health and safety requirements, including all COVID-19 policies and procedures.
· Maintain positive communication regarding the preschool and organization to families, other staff member, and surrounding communities.
· Other Duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
· Safely lift a child or children with a total weight of 50 pounds.
· Conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking, and moderate sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, and reaching on a frequent basis.
· Work with hands above shoulder height with a weight of up to 20 pounds.
· Work with arms extended at shoulder height with a weight of up to 20 pounds.
· Must be able to stoop, bend and kneel on the floor without assistance.
· Push, pull, playground equipment, art supplies, manipulate office equipment, etc.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
