We are looking for an industry veteran who can support and assist the Hotel Saint Regis and the leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong hospitality background in leadership, team management, and hotel operations. The storied Hotel St. Regis has a long history in the city of Detroit and is need of a new manager to be a part of the hotel’s next chapter. The independent property features 124 rooms, 5,000+ sq ft of event space, a lobby bar, and is located in the heart of New Center. The role will include overseeing multiple departments with a focus on improving the day-to-day operations of the hotel through the implementation of policies and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring exceptional guest experiences in all hotel departments
-On board all new employees to prepare them for their roles.
-Create and implement any policies or procedures for improving the hotel’s operations
-Utilize problem-solving tools and techniques for guest and associate issues.
-Use of strong communication skills including the ability to deal effectively with vastly diverse staff.
-Is highly visible and communicates with guests (internal and external) on a regular basis to obtain feedback on quality of product, service levels, and overall satisfaction. Is in the guest areas during high traffic times to ensure smooth and efficient hotel operations.
-Communicate well and maintain good interpersonal relationships with co-workers and guests.
-Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- At least three years previous management experience in lodging or related hospitality field
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Ability to effectively communicate with guests and associates in English via in person, email, phone, etc.
-Physical demands for the job vary from standing, sitting, and moving for long periods of time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
