What You Will Be Doing
This position is responsible for overseeing activities related to Production Planning, Parts Procurement, Core Yard management, and shipping. In addition, this role-plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with sales and customers, including the leading of S&OP meetings monthly.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Manage Parts warehouse, build and develop the team, improve methods, document changes, and deploy proper training. Responsible for delivering safe and efficient operations in a continuous improvement environment.
- Develop and document procedures (SOP’s) to maintain the department in a safe, organized and efficient manner.
- Work closely with employees to communicate and educate on work instructions, policies, procedures and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify process improvements and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Fulfilment of financial and operational KPI’s and meet set targets
Required Experience and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Engineering
- 5 years minimum of warehouse management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 5 years minimum of proven experience managing inventory and order reconciliation
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain operations and best practices
- Demonstrated lean manufacturing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively within a local and international environment
- Excellent analytical, critical and creative thinking, judgment, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of manufacturing systems and unit operations
- Proficient in MS Office
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- 10 years warehouse leading experience
- Remanufacturing Experience
- Understanding of Volvo Operations Concept (VOC) and Volvo Production System (VPS) is a plus
- Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural team
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and automotive transportation industry
