Crimson Resource Management has an immediate opening for a Light Oil Operator for our Kern County lease locations. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of oilfield regulatory and compliance standards and experience in maintaining crude oil production, water injection, processing and shipping oil and Gas Plant experience.

Current Pay Range for Lease Operator is reasonably expected to range from $32.00 – $42.00 per hour. This position is an hourly, non-exempt, full-time position. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
Position Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintains production facilities and leases;
- Monitor crude oil, gas, and waste water production;
- Process oil for sale and prepare paperwork;
- Proficient in oilfield instrumentation;
- Troubleshooting of process/equipment problems, ensure field process equipment is clean, neat and in good working order;
- Identify opportunities and initiate plans for data, field and process improvements
- Participates in Environmental, Health and Safety programs such as behavior-based safety programs, pre-job work planning, energy control, hot work permits, industry health hazard training.
- Perform other duties as required
Critical Skills and Knowledge:
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel & Outlook.
- Experience with Field Vision a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work successfully with a wide variety of people at different levels within the organization.
- Detail orientated with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work various schedules including nights/weekends/holidays & alarm response
- Ability to travel to various locations, local and long distance
Required Qualifications:
- Prefer applicants having 5+ years of oil and gas experience; or equivalent working experience related to oil and gas industry.
- Able to work in various outdoor conditions.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment when required.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as hot and cold temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors and loud noises.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit; occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Selected applicant will be subject to background and MVR check and pre-employment physical & functional capacity exam with drug/alcohol testing.
