This position is a professional industrial business-to-business sales role. The role will focus on securing new accounts for the company, while maintaining an existing customer base in a specific geographic territory. Successful candidate will receive full benefits, and a base salary with exceptional performance incentives. The Technical Sales Representative is primarily responsible for prospecting and selling to new clients (new business development). They’re also responsible for the retention and service of existing accounts within their territory. To ensure that our Technical Sales Reps will provide value added technical solutions and services we require a strong consultative, technical sales skills to build strong lasting relationships with current and prospective customers. You must be able to communicate with our laboratory and the customer with excellent attention to detail to ensure proper product recommendation and success. You must live in the Southern CA. area to be considered for this position. To ensure success in this position candidates must have a mechanical sales background, and have excellent communication skills. Including the ability to speak Spanish as some accounts are in Baja MX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect for and acquire new customers to increase your commission
- Retain & grow sales/relationships with existing customers
- Proactively assess and validate customer needs and goals on an ongoing basis
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account
- Use internet, trade shows, and company generated leads to source for new accounts
- Maintain high activity levels and review with management as required
- Develop and present sales proposals, aligned to customer needs and goals
- Develop and maintain detailed customer plans with existing and prospective key accounts that are critical to achieving territory revenue and profit margin goals
- Maintain high levels of professional internal and external communication
- Represent the company in a professional manner including abiding to regulations, company policies, and procedures.
- Teamwork and collaboration with other Adhesive Products employee rolls (labratory, Managment, Customer Service)
- Some overnight travel required, depending upon specific territory needs

Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have an Associate or Bachelor degree
- 1-2 years of successful experience selling preferred
- Have intellectual curiosity, problem solving, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess strong presenting, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
- Equipment sales experience is a plus
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required
- Bilingual with willingness to travel into Baja Mexico.
