You Have:
-
Four year degree in engineering, business administration, or related field – or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Preferred 1-3 years of related experience in manufacturing processes, maintenance, and/or shipping/warehousing operations, and to include supervisory experience
-
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your Purpose:
The primary function of the Maintenance Supervisor (Routine Facilitator) is to ensure that routine management efforts are carried out within his/her department at the Lancaster Rail and to assist with improvement efforts. This activity will include conducting needs assessments, operational audits, coaching of operators and supervisory personnel on the production/quality improvement programs, 5S improvements, achieving cost control and environmental control goals, development of preventive maintenance processes, development of correct procedures for safety management and assisting with all training efforts.
Your Work:

Documents the standard processes to be used
- Maintains a training matrix and schedules the training needed

Tracks performance of control items and communicates this performance to the management team
- Possesses the skills required to perform trend analysis of the performance data and to identify commonalities within the data, to include the requisite computer skills necessary to carry out these responsibilities

Audits the workforce performance to the standards in accordance with a predetermined schedule
- Performs unscheduled audits on those poor performing processes and ensures compliance with standards. Updates and changes standards when appropriate

Coaches and develops the department’s capabilities at failure analysis
- Responsible for safety of employees and for effectively administering safety programs

Assist with the implementation of CAPEX Projects in the location
