We are a high-end, full-service catering company based out of Concord, MA. Before applying, take note that we are looking for candidates who possess off-site catering management experience and who are EXTREMELY detail-oriented. Days and hours change from week-to-week.
Job Summary: The Catering Events Manager/ Operations Assistant supports the Owner in the day-to-day activities of the catering company. This role involves coordinating various operational tasks, ensuring smooth logistics, managing inventory, assisting with event planning, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of catering events.
- Manage events from beginning to end.
- Coordinate logistics, including delivery, setup, serving, and cleanup.
- Communicate with clients to confirm event details and requirements.
- Ensure all events are executed flawlessly and on time.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Place orders with suppliers and manage deliveries.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
- Staff Support:
- Schedule and managing staff shifts for all jobs.
- Coordinate staff training sessions and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the hiring and onboarding process of new employees.
- Logistics and Transportation:
- Coordinate transportation of food and equipment to event locations.
- Ensure all vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and operational.
- Loading and unloading of all events.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and guests.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.
Make purchases for events- beverage items, floral, leaves, disposables, etc.
Pack up all items necessary for each event
Passing tray items, Buffet and dessert pieces, including serving pieces,
Bar supplies, Coffee/tea pack, Kitchen box, Admin box
Checking Dropbox for daily updated worksheets, rentals, disposable lists, liquor lists
Use Pack list to fill out what’s needed for each event.
Pictures or drawings of passing trays, stations, buffets- and then pack per drawing/pics
Keeping office clean and organized
Check supply list on consistent basis
Unpack boxes from events.
Cleaning of dirty items from events as necessary
Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. bins.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
