SQL developer
Position Overview:
A SQL Developer is responsible for designing, coding, and maintaining databases, while ensuring their security and integrity. They work with data analysts and software developers to develop, test, and implement efficient database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems, including MySQL, SQL Server, MSSQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Postgres, as well as knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript and T-SQL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop database solutions based on business requirements and data analysis
- Write efficient SQL queries and stored procedures for data retrieval, manipulation, and storage
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate security measures and backup procedures
- Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with front-end applications
- Optimize database performance by indexing, tuning, and troubleshooting
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems, including MySQL, SQL Server, MSSQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Postgres
- Experience with database design, data modeling, and database architecture
- Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript and T-SQL
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
