SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for thorough continuous cycle counts of inventory in a timely manner, researches all data available to resolve discrepancies and adheres to proper inventory and storage procedures. The analyst will also monitor aged inventory, incoming receipts, inventory movements in Epicor. Interact with management and production employees.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform cycle counts on inventory or in WIP.
2. Communicate cycle count results timely and accurately.
3. Investigate discrepancies.
4. Make manual adjustments as needed in Epicor.
5. Monitor aged inventory and mark for discussion monthly.
6. Material Deviation Reports dispositioned and closed in timely manner.
7. Audit 10% of daily receipts and report any findings – follow up to clear issues.
8. Monitor warehouse movements in Epicor.
9. Audit bins
10. Participate in kaizens as needed.
11. Preparation for physical inventory.
12. Cross train others.
13. Any other duties deemed necessary by the planner or materials lead.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School graduate/GED
1-3 years of experience preferred.
MS Excel knowledge
Good oral and written communication skills.
Valid Driver's License is REQUIRED
SCOPE:
To maintain and ensure inventory control by performing cycle counts daily; to investigate and get to root cause of any discrepancies and to monitor inventory transactions in and out of the warehouse. To drive the physical inventory from a preparation and readiness standpoint and lead the floor in that function. To assist with other issues necessary for the successful operation of the facility.
