Sugar Creek Brewing Company is looking for a new team member for the position of Brewery Order Builder/Driver/Packaging Assistant (Entry Level).
This position is a hybrid role split between beer deliveries, packaging, and warehouse work.
Primary Responsibilities:
Use forklift and warehouse equipment to load truck and deliver orders to various distributors across the state (1-2 days/wk), assist with packaging and warehouse operations (3-days/wk) with opportunity to progress in cellar and brewing duties over time.
Examples of truck driving work:
-Use forklift & pallet jacks to load and unload pallets of kegs and cases onto the truck
-Secure load using straps and other tools/materials
-Safely drive our 26 foot box truck (air brakes) to deliver beer to our distributors across the state.
Examples of packaging & warehouse work:
-Preparing for canning operations
-Organizing and preparing packaging materials (case trays, pack-techs, staging empty can pallets)
-Maintain weekly inventory records
-Off packing on the canning line
-Palletizing beer cases and securing load to pallets using plastic wrap
-Keg cleaning, filling, and CIP of keg rig
An example of a typical work week: packaging work on Mondays, assisting with building of orders on Tuesdays, then delivering orders Wednesday & Thursday, and packaging/warehouse/cleanup work on Fridays. Each week will vary depending on production demand.

Requirements:
-Clean driving record & record of safe driving
-Extensive truck driving experience (think uhaul or larger)
-Forklift Experience (Certification Preferred)
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma. Ability to work and communicate well with all staff. Organized and detail oriented; accurate record keeping skills. Basic troubleshooting skills in a brewing/manufacturing setting. Mechanically inclined individuals preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Lift 75 lbs. from ground to shoulder high. Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders. Work in small and confined spaces. Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations. Work in a loud environment with basic safety accommodations. Read, write and calculate basic algebra.
