Job Description
The ASM of Ops is responsible to achieving sales and KPIs throughout each shift. They will directly manage visual, merchandising, operations, sales, cashiers, recovery efforts, and fitting rooms. This position is hourly based and full-time employment. ASM's will be expected to work between 35-40 hrs. per week with additional hours/overtime during peak and holiday seasons (where necessary). All overtime hrs. are paid time and a half.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive sales through coaching and development of sales staff, cashiers, and operations teams when necessary.
- Drive store results through effective visual merchandising while complying with SOP and company guidelines.
- Train and develop current visual merchandising and operations teams using company standards and guidelines.
- Drive Credit Card acquisitions through coaching and development of sales staff, cashiers, and operational teams when necessary.
- Achieve KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) through coaching and development of sales staff, cashiers, and operation teams when necessary.
- Develop high performing cashiers and coach staff to key selling behaviors that lead to higher UPT (Units per Transaction), ADS (Average $ Spent), Credit Cards, and E-mail Capture.
- Ensure sales floor staff are eagerly approaching customers with a smile and greeting. Offering each customer help in finding items they are looking for and building outfits.
- Ensure cash wrap lines stay manageable by shifting sales teams around to suit the customer traffic (this may include you at the cash wrap to ring and assist customers personally).
- Ensure night time recovery standards are being upheld to proper closing procedures and company standards.
- Ensure fitting rooms standards are being upheld to proper closing procedures and company standards.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ensure proper recovery is being completed throughout the day
- Ensure go-backs are replenished on sales floor in a timely manner
- Open/Closing procedures documented and strictly adhered
- Achieve no less than 80% individual e-mail capture when ringing customers (when necessary)
- Encourage customers to sign up for a Rewards/Credit card and lead by example
- Manage staff daily schedule to ensure breaks/meals are accomplished at the appropriate time frames
A successful ASM will lead by example. Demonstrating proper technique for accomplishing KPI’s and sales. They will help the store to achieve its daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals by swiftly coaching in the moment to correct behaviors. An ASM must be comfortable having tough conversations and coaching/motivating sales staff to improve.
All ASMs of Ops must be available for all 7 days of each week (weekend availability is mandatory but are rotating with rest of management staff). Time fames can vary based on business needs and payroll budgets. See typical schedules listed below. All ASMs of visual may receive a minimum of 1 closing shift per week. During peak holiday times (ex: Black Friday or week of Christmas), ASMO's may be asked to work earlier than 7am or stay later than 10pm). Typical schedules will include:
- Sunday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm
- Monday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm
- Tuesday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm
- Wednesday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm
- Thursday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm
- Friday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm
- Saturday - 7am-3:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 11am-7:30pm, or 1pm-9pm

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
