Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Sauci Pasta, a new fast-casual pasta restaurant by Fratelli's Ristorante.
As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our recipes and standards. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring them accurately
- Assist in the preparation of menu items according to recipes and portion control guidelines
- Cook food items on the line during service hours
- Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menu items for special events or catering orders
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
