Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Controls Technician primary responsibility is to perform installation, Continuous Improvement, Preventive Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Test and Assembly Equipment.
Duties:
· Continuous Improvement of automation processes and equipment utilization, OEE, and downtime reduction
· Installation and Programming of Equipment
· Perform routine maintenance on all Test and Assembly Equipment
· Coordinate with suppliers on necessary outside repairs and new equipment needs
· Troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives and test equipment.
· Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.
· Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
· Advises operators and technicians of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic equipment and components.
· Informs appropriate management of potential electrical problems and inherent dangers involved.
· Able to work independently as well as with a team
· Work independently on smaller projects from conception to completion. This work will include "hands-on" type projects.
· Performs duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field
is preferred.
· At least 2 years’ experience in Technical manufacturing role involved in PLC and programming
- Preferred PLC training in Allen Bradley, RS Logic, Omron
- Preferred ABB and Fanuc and Sepro robotics
- Experience in Vision systems Preferred Keyence and Senso Part
· Experience in PLC and HMI programming, Ethernet and/or Device net networks.
· Ability to read and use a schematic for troubleshooting of Printed Circuit Assemblies.
· Ability to use computer, interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and learn new systems
· Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
· Must have knowledge of machining and assembly practices, tools and fixturing.
· Must excel at working in a team environment.
· This position requires that the person be able to work independently.
· Must have very strong excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Capable of maintaining new and current automation control systems.

- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear, sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; also occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasional lifting or moving objects of up to 25 pounds is possible; heavier objects will be moved with assistance from other employees or equipment.

Pay: From $31.00 per hour
