Main Function: Responsible for providing high quality nursing care to patients in a plastic surgery office and minor procedure setting including preparing for consultations and procedures, intake and EMR documentation, assisting the surgeon and caring for patients during the healing process.
Work Schedule and Work Environment:
- Work schedule is during the day shift Monday-Friday; work schedules may vary to meet patient scheduling needs.
- This position will be working primarily in the Brunswick office; travel to other locations (St. Marys, Jesup, Waycross) may be required 1-2 times per week (compensation for additional drive time and mileage provided).
Responsibilities
- Performs intake of patient information including history, symptoms, and medication
- Accurately enters documentation in patient's electronic medical record (EMR)
- Prepares for and assists surgeon in minor procedures
- Provides nursing care independently during recovery process such as dressing changes and suture removal
- Ensures exam rooms and procedure rooms have the necessary equipment and supplies
- Sterilizes instruments
- Completes disability and other clinically-related forms
- Handles patient phone calls
- Other duties as required

Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Georgia nursing license - RN (preferred) or LPN
