Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in its Tampa, Florida, Functional Medicine/ IV therapy clinic.
Serving in a direct care capacity, the NP plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality medical care through patient interaction and administering IV therapy treatments and performing blood draws for further analysis. This role requires a balance of medical expertise, compassion, and excellent communication skills.

Essential Job Functions
Working collaboratively with our medical staff, NP is the point person for the administration and monitoring of IVs that are prescribed for patients with complex, multisystem health problems, as well as for performing routine blood draws and exams.
We are looking for a person who has experience in primary care medicine, injectables, and can perform or be trained in joint injections, hormone replacement therapy and peptide replacement therapies.
Specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
- Consulting with patients with chronic disease as well as patients who are interested in prevention. Welcoming and orienting patients to the IV clinic.
- Performing routine specimen collection procedures for samples such as urine and blood.
- Preparing, assembling, and administering IV therapy treatments, including therapeutic protocols, vitamin infusions, and hydration.
- Monitoring patients during IV infusion procedures.
- Educating patients, answering their questions, and addressing their concerns about health management, IV therapy benefits, and preventive care.
- Collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Performing routine post-specimen collection procedures such as completing requisition forms, spinning, pipetting, and packaging specimens for shipment.
- Attending to emergencies including minor injuries, sudden illness, and other issues that may arise from in-clinic IV treatment.
- Maintaining precise electronic records for patients, to include entering patient-related data and IV session information into the practice’s electronic health records (EHR) platform / patient chart.
- Managing medical office tasks related to infusion therapies, including cleaning and maintaining IV infusion areas, and monitoring IV lab inventories and supplies such as IV bags, syringes, etc.
- Identifying and solving problems in a timely manner; gathering and analyzing information skillfully, and then developing thoughtful solutions.
- Participating the PROVOKE Health trainings and educational in-service activities.
- Other duties within scope as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) with Autonomy licensure in the State of Florida.
- BLS, ACLS certified.
- Demonstrated expertise and confidence in IV placement, preferably with experience in an ER/ED, emergency services, or ICU setting. Experience working for an infusion center or IV wellness facility is highly preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a setting that contributes to positive health outcomes through the use of infusions (such as emergency services, medical surgical unit, emergency department, intensive care unit, post-anesthesia care unit, med spa, or similar setting) is required.
- Ability to plan, prioritize and think systematically.
- Experience with joint injections is helpful but not required.
- Experience with bioidentical HRT and Peptides is helpful but not required.
- Experience in Functional Medicine is helpful but not required.
- Demonstrated success with multitasking and working as an integral part of a high-functioning team responsible for the care and safety of others.
- Excellent people skills, experience using electronic medical records, and attention to detail are required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public presentation and procedure training/demonstration skills.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations.
- Must be willing to take and pass a criminal background test.
- Interest in/passion for living a healthy lifestyle.
- Interest in integrative and/or functional healthcare is helpful but not required.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
Nurse Practitioner (NP) with will frequently be required to be on their feet 5-7 hours per day and will occasionally be required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. for short distances of 100 feet or less.
