Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to help them regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will assess patients' needs, develop treatment plans, and provide therapy to help them achieve their goals.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' individual needs and goals
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for improving function and managing daily activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Prior experience in Acute care settings preferred
- Strong patient care skills and ability to develop rapport with patients
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and case management principles
- Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with acute care and occupational health practices
