Bertram Communications LLC seeks a qualified candidate to join our growing team as a full-time Strategic Partnership Specialist.
Bertram provides high-speed, reliable internet to homes throughout the Midwest. Our mission is to provide every rural home with internet connectivity. Your mission? Research, identify, and prioritize partnership opportunities that will continue to grow Bertram and bring the Internet to every home.
Responsibilities:
· Build solid and trusted relationships with strategic partners. Adept to working well with small and large clients and equally effective in pursuing work at varying levels
· Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand Bertram’s partnership network and stay abreast of industry trends
· Support all aspects of partnership engagement, including drafting partnership agreements, presentations, and appropriate supporting documentation
· Support all aspects of grants and contract documents that align with Bertram’s mission and meet all regulations and policies
· Collaborate and work with other Bertram team members and departments
· Keep abreast of technical innovations and emerging changes in the industry
· Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills
· Professional in appearance, dress, and action
· Proven track record in sales and nurturing client relationships
· Authentic and genuine personality
· Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate technical information
· Ability to travel as needed. Travel 30-40% and domestic only.
· Possess demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of professionals in various fields, including technical, legal, business, marketing, and government
· Possess the ability to perform consistently and professionally while in a fast-paced environment and must be able to achieve results while maintaining the integrity of Bertram’s mission
· Possess demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and must be self-motivated and self-directed
· Proven ability to work as a team member in a collaborative environment
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
· Experience in working with information of a business-sensitive nature, with proven ability to meet this responsibility in a professional and ethical manner
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs
· Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (Ability to present to customers)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous experience in community engagement, partnership development, or related fields
· Knowledge of Smart Sheets
· Familiarity with various project management methodologies
· 1-3 years in client-facing sales or account management capacity
· Associate degree in a related field
