Position Title: Maintenance Storeroom Clerk
POSITION PURPOSE
The Maintenance Storeroom Clerk ensures that the storeroom is clean and organized. They solve customer issues, maintain stock, prevent damages, and maintain pertinent documentation. They conduct cycle counts and keep records of incoming and outgoing materials and spare parts. The Maintenance Storeroom Clerk works under the leadership of the Maintenance Storeroom Leader and may be needed to work on any shift based upon workload.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Manage all aspects of inventory records for supplies, tools, and spare parts
· Responsible for accurate parts information in the CMMS
· Distributes spare parts in accordance with proper sign out protocol
· Orders spare parts as needed to restock storeroom and maintain minimum inventory levels
· Follows company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines
· Receives assignments that are broad in nature requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity for successful completion
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Receive maintenance, repair and other (MRO) items utilizing material management systems including CMMS and Excel generated reports
- Receive material accurately and match incoming items to purchase order or records
- Perform accurate cycle counts and post adjustments timely
- Maintain accurate inventory records and valid information in the CMMS system
- Maintain master material part information integrity in CMMS
- Issue maintenance items against CMMS work orders
- Initiate the purchase order process for emergency MRO items, when required
- Conduct entry in CMMS of stock disbursements
- Conduct dispatching of repair & returns
- Develop and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM’s) for equipment in CMMS
- Ensure and maintain proper shipping procedures are followed when items are removed from the building
- Initiate follow-up needed for outstanding open and backordered purchase order items
- Identify maintenance items as stock or non-stock to ensure proper reorder of items
- Conduct restocking of bins for goods receipts (parts & supplies)
- Obtain RMA numbers from suppliers as needed
- Communicate with suppliers as required
- Assist Storeroom Leader with maintaining and improving storeroom specific SOP’s
- Assist Storeroom Leader with storeroom specific KPI reporting
- Operate lift truck and walk-behind hand truck
- Perform area housekeeping duties
- Comply with all Viwinco policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Perform other duties as assigned by Storeroom Leader
Knowledge / Skills
· Strong written, verbal, and communication skills
· Proficient computer skills including:
o MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel
o Purchasing Systems
o Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
· Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels
· High level of self-motivation
· Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanliness
· Able to traverse the storeroom quickly, safely, and efficiently
· A basic level of being mechanically inclined; highly desired
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
