A Certified Chiropractic Assistant ensures the seamless operation of our clinic. The role involves handling patient check-in and check-out processes, managing therapies, answering calls, and assisting in administrative tasks. The Certified Chiropractic Assistant plays a vital role in delivering quality patient care, verifying insurance benefits, and maintaining efficient clinic operations.
Essential Functions:
- Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently manage daily patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Therapy Oversight: Ensure patients are properly set up on therapies and smoothly transition through the office on a daily basis.
- Phone Support: Answer incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling needs.
- Data Management: Assist in importing data into the PI spreadsheet and sending out notices of liens as required.
- New Patient Information: Import new patient data into ChiroTouch and verify insurance benefits.
- Social Media: Assist in creating social media marketing content.
- Insurance Coordination: Monitor Dilworth patients for new insurance requirements, obtain necessary forms, and submit them accordingly.
- Financial Transactions: Collect copays and coinsurances from patients at the end of their appointments.
- AR Report Management: Assist in pulling AR reports for Dilworth and contact patients regarding outstanding balances. Send statements as needed.
- Patient Follow-Up: Proactively follow up with patients who have fallen off the schedule to encourage them to continue with treatment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure daily operations run smoothly in the Dilworth location.
- Doctor Support: Collaborate with all doctors to guarantee efficient and excellent patient care, maintaining consistency in patient service.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Chiropractic Assistant is required.
- Prior experience in a similar role, especially within a healthcare or clinical environment, is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing medical software and databases.
- Knowledge of chiropractic and clinical procedures.
- A commitment to patient care and fostering a positive clinic environment.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining records and managing administrative tasks efficiently.

- Customer Service: A Certified Chiropractic Assistant must demonstrate exemplary customer service to ensure a positive patient experience. This includes engaging patients, being receptive and responsive to their needs, and appropriately addressing any patient questions or concerns.
- Effective Communication: A Certified Chiropractic Assistant must communicate effectively and respectfully with patients and team members via phone, via email, and via EHR system messaging. They should be able to listen effectively and express themselves in a clear and articulate manner.
- Information Collection & Management: A Certified Chiropractic Assistant must be able to collect, organize, and monitor data accurately and efficiently. This data includes Protected Health Information (PHI), which must be handled in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA). All personal information (PHI) must be kept in a locked and secure location.
- Multi-Tasking & Adaptability: A Certified Chiropractic Assistant must be able to multi-task and adjust their approach to meet changing demands and stressful situations.
- Personal & Professional Ethics: A Certified Chiropractic Assistant must have integrity and honesty in this position. Adherence to professional ethics as delineated by the clinic and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA) is required.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Chiropractic Assistant Certification required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred.
